  • Date: Friday, 27 September 2024
  • Time: 14:30hrs -20:00hrs

It isn’t easy to be a parent of an adolescent today —it isn’t easy to be an adolescent either. How do you help them develop attention, concentration and self-control? What pressures do teens feel today, and what can we, as parents, do about it? What is the neurological, cognitive, social, behavioural and emotional impact of pornography or video games on the brain of an adolescent? How does social media affect teenagers’ self-esteem? What do you do if your child struggles with anxiety or is addicted to screens? How do you help your child develop good habits? What’s next with AI?

Expert Insights and Practical Strategies

“Positive Parenting, Confident Teens” is a carefully curated specialist event designed for parents who are eager to learn more and make well-informed decisions on how to support, accompany, and guide their children through the challenges of adolescence.

Recognising that every family is unique, our aim is to empower parents to develop critical thinking skills and discover practical strategies that work best for them. Through Expert Talks, Panels, and Interviews, we will address complex questions that parents face today. This event will provide invaluable insights on how to:

  • Change yourself so your teen can change.
  • Navigate the digital world and manage screen time effectively.
  • Foster resilience and emotional intelligence in teens.
  • Support healthy communication and strengthen parent-teen relationships.
  • Set boundaries with empathy and positive discipline.
  • Address mental health concerns with confidence and understanding.
  • Encourage healthy habits and decision-making skills in adolescents.
Cross Disciplinary Programme

Over the past two years we delivered 120 in-person courses about ‘Personality Types’‘The Adolescence Brain’, and ‘Responsible Use of Technology’, reaching more than 2,200 people across London. We delivered our programme to both state and independent schools, as well as in other educational or study centres.

We believe that there is a benefit in addressing our children challenges through the eyes of specialists in conscious parenting, positive discipline, and positive psychology. In this event, we’ll engage with psychiatrists, neurobiologists, psychologists, paediatricians, teachers, counsellors, educators, media and technology professionals.
