WeSee: Four-Time Anthem Award Winners (2022–2025)

By 31 March 2026No Comments

WeSee Education has been recognised for four consecutive years at the Anthem Awards by The Webby Awards (2022–2025), a global benchmark for purpose-driven work and social impact

Presented annually by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), the Anthem Awards honour organisations and initiatives shaping a better future through innovation, creativity and measurable impact.

Over the past four years, WeSee has received multiple awards across key categories, including:

  • Education Program
  • Educational Platform
  • Special Youth Projects

These recognitions reflect the consistency and depth of our work in supporting young people and families at a time of increasing complexity and change.

Award-Winning Work

Our recognised work includes the Conscious and Positive Parenting, and the Responsible Use of Technology, part of a broader programme designed to help parents and carers better understand and support adolescents.

In a world shaped by rapid technological change, increasing digital exposure and growing pressures on mental health, these masterclasses provide practical tools and frameworks to strengthen relationships, build resilience and support healthy development.

Why This Matters

On August 2025, the parents of a 16-year-old boy filed a wrongful-death lawsuit against OpenAI and CEO Sam Altman —Raine v. OpenAI 2025. “He was best friends with ChatGPT,” said the boy’s father. His mother’s words cut deeper: “ChatGPT killed my son”. Chatbot companionship is such a new phenomenon that research is only beginning to explore its impact on mental health. A joint study by OpenAI and MIT found that higher daily chatbot use was linked to greater loneliness and reduced socialisation. That story moved us to create the masterclasses.

This recognition matters not because of the accolade itself, but because of what it represents. Young people today are navigating a world of constant stimulation, emotional pressure and digital overwhelm. At the same time, many parents and carers feel under-equipped to support them.

WeSee exists to address this gap.

Our work focuses on developing agency, resilience and meaningful connection, supporting young people to better understand themselves, relate to others and contribute to the world around them. Alongside this, we equip parents with the insight and tools needed to accompany adolescents through this critical stage of life.

A Consistent Track Record of Impact

Being recognised across four consecutive years places WeSee among a select group of organisations consistently delivering high-quality, impactful work at the intersection of education, technology and social change.

Our programmes are funded through grants and donations, allowing us to remain accessible to young people from a wide range of backgrounds, and to the parents who support them.

Acknowledgements

We extend our sincere thanks to The Anthem Awards and The Webby Awards for recognising mission-driven work, and congratulations to all the winners and the wider community of organisations contributing to meaningful social impact globally.

This year we were moved by AARP’s work with @Lauren Miller Rogen and Seth Rogen in their Taking Care Film, honouring the dignity of people living with Alzheimer’s and the extraordinary dedication of those who care for them. Hats off as well to Gordon Philanthropies, Inc. for their Rock Out & Read-Along American Sign Language Campaign. And a special mention to Brooke Eby, whose remarkable courage and humour —light in the darkest hours— continue to offer hope to so many.

To the parents who share their fears, hopes and small daily victories, thank you. To the teenagers who allow us to see the world through their eyes, thank you for your honesty. And to our donors, experts, partners and everyone who has supported this work, quietly or visibly, we are deeply grateful.

Thank you @Christine Parreño, James Westlake, Fernando Lupo, Lewis Thompson, @Jitendra Singh, Sean Simpson, Hannah Joy, Mercedes Zalbidea, @Emma Allende, @Farah Hatim and so many others. And thank you, in a very special way, to Arantxa Martínez. Thanks to you, WeSee further! The world needs more people like you. 😍

Looking Ahead

Being recognised across four consecutive years places WeSee among a select group of organisations consistently delivering meaningful outcomes for young people.

As we continue to expand, these awards reinforce our mission: to help young people build agency, resilience, and character through self-discovery, study, and service to others ( our 3S’s methodology ). To form parents and carers to consciously and positively accompany their teenagers as independent human beings. And to strengthen families, schools, and communities, and influence policy to enable young people to flourish.
